He has 31½ years of professional experience which includes 24½ years of full time teaching. Out of this 24½ years of teaching experience, 21½ years were at the level of a Professor. After Ph.D., he started his teaching career directly as an Associate Professor and became a Professor in less than three years. He has held many positions like HOD, Vice Principal, Principal, Dean-Examinations, Member-Academic Council, Member-Various University Committees, Secretary cum Treasurer of ISTE Chapter, Chairman of ISTE Chapter, President of IIChE Chapters, etc. He started his teaching career with a belief that education is not just a mere act of teaching–learning, but should stretch beyond such limited definitions to inculcate sound human values, respect for tradition and an outlook that prepares the students ready to face challenges of life ahead. As Principal, he visualizes his college as an Adobe of 5Es, meaning that it is a Temple like Institution for imparting 5Es viz. Education Enlightenment Employment Entrepreneurship   Empowerment, where  “the student leaves the college not only with a Degree in Distinction but also with a Job in Hand.” To achieve this, he implements an educational model in which technology is blended with requisite proportion of tradition to produce engineers who are complete individuals in all respects, being knowledgeable, ethical, disciplined and able to keep pace with ever advancing technology.

During the 24½ years of teaching and administrative career, he has held several distinctions like

• Taught students with the conviction that they should not be made to accept any statement without convincing them of the logic behind and any equation without deriving it from the basics.
• Introduced Coding and Central Assessment for the first time in Mumbai University so as to drive away malpractices from the examination system.
• Brought out one University Gold Medalist and four All India GATE Rankers including the ALL INDIA FIRST RANKER successively in five years from not so well rated private engineering colleges like BVPCOE and MGMCET of Navi Mumbai.
• Innovated and introduced several new concepts like
  • Head of the Family (HOF) in place of HOD
  • Five Don'ts for engineering students to excel in their career
  • An educational model with judicious mix of technology and tradition.
