Nimra Edu

NCET is one of the premier institutions offering education in engineering and management through several B.Tech and M.Tech, MCA & MBA courses. This institute is promoted by Nimra Educational Society (NES), a Society founded with a dream to establish and nurture institutions of excellence by Dr. Mohammed Vizarat Rasool Khan and his son Dr. Mohammed Saqib Rasool Khan, both Great Visionaries and Perfectionists.

NCET, the jewel in the crown of NES was established in the year 1997 with approval from AICTE and affiliation to JNTU. The college has grown over the years to the present stage where it is recognized as one of the Prestigious Institutions of A.P., offering 8 B.Tech divisions, 10 M.Tech courses and MBA & MCA with a total annual intake of 960 under the dynamic and vibrant leadership of our Charismatic Secretary Dr. Mohammed Saqib Rasool Khan. The college is situated at Ibrahimpatnam abetting NH-9, in a sprawling 75 acre lush green campus and is housed in elegant and beautiful buildings, best regarded as architectural marvels of Vijayawada city, which are our pride and neighbours' envy. Each department including the Centralized Training & Placement Section are accommodated in separate and independent blocks impressing the visitors that they are entering into an NIT. Not only the physical appearance and infrastructure, but also the procedures put in place, discipline enforced, teaching methodologies adopted, etc. will give a better comfort than NITs. That is why, the tagline for NCET is made out to read as "An IIT in the making". The library here is repositioned as Central Library & Information Center (CLIC) with Digital (E) Library contained in itself, where the information published in the press regarding education in general and Engg. Education in particular, flow to all staff and students through Principal. The CLIC is ornamented with vast collection of books and journals. NCET proudly announces establishment of Abhyudaya a wall magazine, which no other college in Andhra Pradesh state can boast of.

NCET believes that education is not just a mere act of teaching - learning, but should stretch beyond (such limited definitions) to inculcate sound human values, respect for tradition and an outlook that prepares students ready to face challenges of life ahead. There is a Code of Conduct in place for students of NCET, so as to make them the perfect citizens of India. Further, we blend technology with requisite proportion of tradition to produce engineers who are complete individuals in all respects, being knowledgeable, ethical, disciplined and able to keep pace with ever advancing technology. NCETians after completion of four years of B.Tech course or three years of MCA or two years of MBA or M.Tech course will be the proud engineers/managers of the country without any doubt. That is why the caption for NCET is prepared to read "Giving a New Direction to Education…"

NCET is providing the best of opportunities to students for sharpening of their skills and widening of their knowledge by arranging expert lectures, seminars and symposiums on the forum Students' Professional Societies. Simultaneously, students of all classes are made to deliver seminars in the class rooms and speak among themselves in the college only in English to improve upon their communication skills. Sports and other extra curricular activities are also being taken up on large scale. All my students must remember the great quotation of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru which reads "AIMING/DREAMING AT SOMETHING BIG MAKES YOU BIG". So, Aim Big; Dream High and Direct all your Actions so as to Translate your Aims/Dreams into Reality. With small determination and little effort, complete success is within reach of every individual. So, nothing less than 100% - either in attendance or results - must be the motto of each NCETian. Remember my dear students! 100% attendance and 1 hr preparation every day will get a First class, 100% attendance plus 2 hrs preparation a day will fetch Distinction and 3 hrs preparation in addition to 100% attendance will make you the University Topper. When becoming the Topper of the University is such a simple job, why and what for you are waiting? Resolve yourself now that you must be the University Topper. Attend each and every class and make it a reality. Practice the following Five Don'ts.

  • Don't digest any definition, until you get convinced of the logic behind.
  • Don't accept any equation, unless it is derived from the basics.
  • Don't cram up the subject, rather remember by understanding it.
  • Don't study for hours together once a week/fortnight, but study steadily even for an hour, every day.
  • Don't miss to write it down, when you understood solution to a problem/derivation. It facilitates you to know in advance where you might likely go wrong or get stuck in exam halls and helps you not to have it recurred.

I call upon the parents of all prospective engineering students (Intermediate Pass outs) to visit NCET and see for themselves how different NCET is from all other colleges located not only in Vijayawada but also in whole of Andhra Pradesh, how "NCET is giving a New Direction to Education" and why should it be regarded as an "IIT in the making". Admit your ward in a branch of your choice in B.Tech course and take him/her back after four years as a Full Pledged Engineer and a Complete Individual. You can rest tension free and assured for four years while your son/daughter shape his/her career in this Abode of 5Es, to come out not only with a "Degree in Distinction but also with a Job in Hand".
